I learned not to tell your insurance agent things like, "My g/f will be driving the car mostly," or "No, I don't have life insurance."
I then learned that a fool and his money will soon part.
Also learned that even though I'm commuting on the bike to save gas, I can't friggin help but rev the little bitch to 13k. whoops!

Saving $ by commuting on a bike is a no go. Sure, you save on gas but the maintenance (tires, chains, sprockets, oil, etc) makes it even more costly than driving your car. Just to be clear, I still commute on my bike.

70mpg pays off in the long run I like to believe. Granted, my DD car gets 30 average, but it consumes a gallon of oil over the course of 300 miles (per tank essentially). Saturn S-series have ring problems. I can't hlep it, I love these cars. So It costs me $30 to fill the tank and another $10 in oil. $40 over 300 miles vs. $11 for the moto to go 250 miles.
Who knows, I've done all the math on it and seems viable. I still get to work a little quicker and more awake than usual... both which are +'s
I also do my own maintenance on the bike and it's 100% OEM. 7k on the odo, no worries of chain/sprocket expenses in the near future.
