I always enjoyed the hell out of Margaritaville when I was in Vegas and in Myrtle Beach. Kind of excited for that. I wonder if the slots will get a little better both downtown and in Indiana during the early Horseshoe days ?
I went on opening night, it was fine. The BEST part that makes this casino better than the other casinos I've been to is that it's non-smoking. So much nicer.
Minimum bets were $25 at the blackjack tables which were appropriate for the rush, I would expect it to drop to $5 in early evenings and the day.

I know this much... it's a fucking shit-turd of a building. I could have monkey-fucked my way to a better design my sophomore year in DAAP.
It looks like a Wal-Mart got knocked up by a Bit-O-Honey and had an abortion. And then splattered the remains on Reading.
Tragic. Thanks for taking a huge shit on a good site, Horseshoe.

Nope... we were there from about noon to 4 ... the lowest table was $15 and there were only like 10 tables downstairs (blackjack, poker, and two other random games i didn't recognize. Then there were maybe 4 tables of roulette and high/low.) .. I guess there is a high rollers section but we could never find it... there may be more tables there but nothing near $5
we intended to stay longer but it was lame... and even when you could get a drink, it was like $8, it took over 20 minutes to get it, and had NO alcohol you could taste..
the fact that we left the casino so early was from boredom and lack of alcohol... we went to get drinks on the river instead... $3 happy hour margaritas, twice as big, and 5 times the alcohol content ..
so basically, we got drunk in the morning, went to the casino, sobriety took over us there, so we left and got drunk again.. lol
OH -- and you had the option of getting drinks at the jimmy buffet place -- BUT -- you could not walk out of there (and into the casino ) with a drink...
there was a bar in the middle, but it was CLOSED the entire time we were there...
so the only way to get drinks was to order them from the slot machine and a cocktail waitress brings it to you.... but it took so long, no one wanted to wait in that one spot at that one slot machine to collect the drinks. And THEN, they don't have any change.. even for a $20 bill.. they were like "let me go get your change, wait here" .. UGH
Most of you know, I'm not a big drinker anyway -- but goddammit, we were trying to have a good time.. and i always thought casinos WANT to get you drunk.. instead, we left to go get a damn drink.. lol
Opening day all drinks were $5 from what I could tell and service was *FasterLongerDeeperHarder**FasterLongerDeeperHarde r**FasterLongerDeeperHarder**FasterLongerDeeperHar der*. Though ordering from the slot machine touch screens were fast! Give it time, service should get better like everywhere else. I wish the tables drop lower as time goes on. $15 is the most I'd spend at blackjack.
